I built this render for a personal project I called rocket man. I wanted to do an exploration with X-Particles. The idea was to see if I could achieve a re-entry burn effect without using the heavier, more realistic fire solver, that comes with X-Particles. With a combination of layered on render techniques, I was able to get close to the real thing but keep the artistic advection look. The model is a free model from the pixel lab. Rendered with redshift.
